This project aims to develop and design a new methodology for the construction of large steel metallic structures with non-linear geometric shapes (curves), using an innovative addition manufacturing technology.

MAIN OBJECTIVE
Strengthen research, technological development and innovation.
This new solution is intended to allow the construction of highly complex metallic structures based on an innovative addition manufacturing technology that will promote (i) a sustainable, efficient (in terms of time and resources) and highly technical rigor production process (capable of forming the radii of the parts without any deviation, thus minimizing the rates of nonconformity of the parts and the levels of steel waste), (ii) a new product with safety, morphological, chemical properties, mechanical resistance to increased traction/crushing/fatigue, thermals, toughness, flexibility and adaptability and (iii) a simplified assembly and welding process.
INNOVATION IN METAL CONSTRUCTION AT THE SERVICE OF SUSTAINABILITY
The integration of additive manufacturing into the conventional metal structure manufacturing process allows for the production of structural elements tailored to the load requirements of the element, without material waste, adjustable to the variability of the underlying construction elements.
